No game no life is one of my favorite light novels, and the art is really unique so i hope they animate it well. Good series also, but the whole romance/harem side is generic (in my opinion). I hate tsunderes and Claire is over the top, which makes it worse. Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance is gonna annoy the hell out of me. Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi is kinda generic but it all fits and has an enjoyable story (at least for me). Miyuki may get on some people's nerves (including mine 50% of the time), but they'll get over it. Its amazing with an extremely powerful main character that's not annoying to me any way. I honestly hope people see it for what its worth. I kinda hope there is gore in Madan no Ou to Vanadis and Black Bullet, as they both aren't exactly "light hearted" and are full of blood (both series) and war (Vanadis). Black bullet and Madan no Ou to Vanadis are my most anticipated also :) Hm i've read all of these (manga/light novel wise) except for rail wars, which seems pretty interesting. 14 or 15 up through wherever it is up to, which is upwards of 20 novels, plus all the series I want to start like Mahouka), and I just haven't gotten around to it. Add to that the fact that my light novel backlog alone is huge (Kino's Journey vol. I do want to read through 8 to resolve the cliffhanger, but I kind of want to read it in one go, so I have been waiting. For Madan no Ou, I'm caught up through volume 7. I've only read the manga for NGNL, so I can't comment on the novels, but I am interested in checking them out when I get a chance.Īs to your question, I have read the BB manga up to wherever It's translated into English (15, I believe) and I've read through the next chapter in Japanese. I'm hoping the series does well so we get a second season with the good parts from the novels. Kamito's past and the mysteries behind the other Blade Dance participants is extremely interesting, but like I mentioned, we probably won't get that far unless they butcher the pacing. It's rather unoriginal, but it works.Īs for Blade Dance, I don't mind Claire too much, but yeah, the romantic comedy is the weakest part unless it involves Kamito's past, in which case the antics are fun. I pretty much agree with you on Mahouka, including Miyuki being annoying half the time. Madan could probably get away with less than the novels, since the majority of the violence is in the battle descriptions, but that could go either way. It seems interesting enough, so I might look into it.įor gore, I think Black Bullet should definitely have it, since parts of the plot don't work as well without it. Just be warned my response may be a bit long, as a result. No worries on the length, I have no problem with a lot of reading.
